Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Glenwood, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for pediatric patients in their own homes. This full-time day position offers a 1/2 day school hours option and a pay rate of $34/hour with weekly paychecks.

Responsibilities include using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, delivering skilled nursing services per orders, and monitoring patient changes. Required are an LPN/LVN license, current TB/Chest X-ray, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
