Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to care for pediatric patients in their own home in Charles City, Iowa. The role includes weekends with competitive pay and weekly paychecks.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, delivering skilled nursing per orders, and monitoring changes in patient condition. Current LPN/LVN license, TB test or chest X-ray, and BLS are required; 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse license (LPN/LVN) current in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current.
• TB test or chest X-ray current.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide skilled nursing care per prescribed orders at each assignment.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collect, analyze, and document data and nursing diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
