Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) reviewer to authorize Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plans and provide clinical guidance to teams. You will review documents, ensure regulatory compliance, and support treatment planning with strong diagnostic and interpersonal skills.

The role requires holding LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT licenses, a Master’s degree, and at least two years of behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to assess and diagnose; develop treatment plans and interventions.
• Strong written and oral communication; professional attitude and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the LPHA for Integrated Assessment and Treatment Plan (IATP) ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Provides clinical feedback and guidance to clinicians to ensure medical necessity and diagnosis are supported.
• Ensures appropriate treatment recommendations; completes risk assessment and safety planning steps.
• Ensures completion of required screening and assessment tools and uses results in treatment planning.
• Completes documentation supporting all activities related to review and authorization of the IATP.
• Performs diagnostic assessments and determines immediate treatment plan needs with patients.
• Requests medical consultation when indicated in a timely manner.
• Completes treatment plan with patient, identifying goals linked to identified needs.
• Provides behavioral health therapy to individuals, families, and/or groups.
• Coordinates with Emergency Response Service and crisis teams for high-risk clients.
• Maintains records per policy and regulatory standards including Joint Commission and Medicaid.
• Acts as liaison between community and patient needs; coordinates goals with providers and managed-care entities.
• May supervise Carle Health clinicians and counseling or social work students.
• Participates in in-service and competency training; prepares reports as needed.
• Meets clinical productivity and documentation standards.
