Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. in Martinsville, IN is seeking an energetic outside propane sales representative responsible for promoting and delivering propane to residential, commercial and farm accounts.

You will manage the sales cycle from initial contact to delivery, including tank service and installations as needed. You must hold a valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, have solid communication and computer skills, and be able to build a customer base through proactive prospecting and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus.
• Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations in a safe, punctual manner.
• Interact with customers to provide service information and answer inquiries.
• Build customer base within the sales territory by prospecting and cold calls.
• Prepare and maintain records per regulations and company procedures.
• Operate truck safely and follow established safety procedures; provide energy department backup as needed.

Job DescriptionPosition Overview: The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service.Duties and Responsibilities: Include but are not limited toDeliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe mannerDuring daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiresBuild customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company proceduresOperate truck in accordance to established safety proceduresPerform installation, removal and service as neededProvide back up to Energy department as neededSkills and Qualifications:Acceptable driving record and able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsementsProficient computer skillsProficient verbal and written communication skillsDetail oriented and ability to prioritizeEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalentOutside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps/ ladders and lift up to 75lbsBending and climbing in and out of the truck
