Job summary

Davenport Energy Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to serve customers in the Bedford, VA area, delivering fuels safely and courteously. You will prepare delivery tickets, complete paperwork, and support other routes as needed, while following all safety rules.

The role requires a Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a high school diploma or equivalent, plus relevant experience. A strong customer service mindset and ability to operate tablets and mobile devices are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience and/or training are helpful.

Responsibilities

The Delivery Driver delivers fuel or propane to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers.Duties/Responsibilities:Deliver fuels to customers in a safe and courteous manner.Prepare delivery tickets and complete paperwork for processing.Assist and/or fill in on other routes and provide support within the plant as needed.Observe and adhere to safety and security procedures.Deliver and assist with other petroleum products as needed.Perform all duties and responsibilities according to established safety rules and guidelines.Required Skills/Abilities:General math skills required, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.Excellent customer service skills and excellent communication skills.Experience using tablets, smartphones, and general electronic devices.Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this positionEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Three years of related experience and/or training are helpful.Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements requiredGood driving record requiredPhysical Requirements:Regularly required to sit and/or drive for extended periodsRoutinely stand and/or walkReach with hands and armsClimb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust regularly lift and/or move up to 50 poundsOccasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
