Job summary

ADT is seeking a Field Technician to install and support low-voltage security systems in customer homes and small businesses across the Grand Rapids area. You will install wiring, test systems, and ensure reliable performance while delivering the high standard of customer service ADT is known for.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, flexibility to work evenings and weekends, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (additional licensing may be required by location).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-first communication style.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections, including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
