Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Madison, WI, is seeking a qualified professional to design and analyze IT cabling, security, audio/visual, and other low-voltage systems. You will use BIM and engineering tools to produce designs and calculations in line with code requirements and IMEG standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines, while maintaining safety, quality, and project goals.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or certificate in BIM or Engineering preferred.
  • 3 years minimum experience, 4 preferred in building design consulting or construction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects.
  • Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
  • Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions, collaborating with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions.
  • Work within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage technology ICT systems, and contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work, identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
