Job summary

ARK Systems, Inc. is seeking a Low Voltage Systems Service Technician in Maryland to install, service and program fire, security, access control and paging systems. The role requires field electronic experience and the ability to read plans and code requirements.

Ideal candidates have an AA degree in Electronics, strong communication skills, and a willingness to obtain Maryland and Virginia security licenses. A positive attitude and reliable driving record are essential for on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of NFPA alarm system requirements and be able to interpret codes.
• Must have customer relations experience and good communication skills.
• Ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician licenses.
• Field electronic practical experience required.
• Must maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Installation of system wiring as applicable.
• Completes associated paperwork in a timely, efficient manner per company requirements.
• Performs troubleshooting as required.
• Terminates devices and panel wiring.
• Programs panels and systems for proper operation per plans, specifications and code requirements.
• Responsible for truck inventory control.
• Communicates with ARK team members to effectively pursue company goals of installing and servicing alarm systems according to acceptable standards and practices.
• Communicates with customer concerning the importance, operation and status of their life safety system.
• Responds to after hour services calls as required per on-call rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.
