Job summary

Next Level Technician is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Technician for structured cabling in Austin, TX. The role involves pulling, terminating, testing, and labeling CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, reading blueprints, installing racks and patch panels, and supporting fiber optic and CCTV systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial/industrial low voltage experience.
• Hands-on experience with structured cabling and voice/data systems.
• Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, terminations, testing, racks, patch panels, MDF/IDF.
• Fiber optic experience is a plus.
• Security or CCTV experience is a plus.
• Audio visual experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of telecom and data networks.
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cabling.
• Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, and workstation outlets.
• Read blueprints, system layouts, and technical drawings.
• Follow safety requirements and work safely at heights.
• Support fiber optic, access control, CCTV, and audio visual systems as needed.
