Job summary

HDR is seeking a Telecommunications/Security Designer II to shape critical infrastructure for complex facilities. You design integrated low-voltage systems, calculate loads, determine UPS needs, and produce construction documents as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should bring 5+ years in low-voltage design, proficiency in Autodesk platforms, and certifications like RCDD/PSP. Data center and healthcare experience and ability to obtain security clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in low-voltage system design.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated low voltage systems.
• Calculate electrical power loads and UPS requirements; design single line diagrams.
• Prepare complete construction documents.
• Tackle objectives with investigation of multiple variables.
• Independently perform low voltage design tasks under project manager guidance.
• Write specifications for all low voltage systems; review with owners.
• Assist other designers and technicians across all design phases.
• Conduct QA/QC on work of others as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
