Job summary

HDR is seeking a Security Designer II to design integrated electronic security systems and drive project success. You will calculate loads, determine UPS requirements, produce construction documents, and write specifications as part of a project team.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and at least 5 years in security design with Autodesk; RCDD is a plus. HDR thrives as an employee-owned, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in security design with Autodesk.
• RCDD certification or related engineering knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated electronic security systems for projects.
• Calculate electrical loads, UPS requirements, and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare and maintain the complete set of construction documents.
• Write specifications and coordinate with owners as part of the project team.
• Conduct QA/QC and support other designers and technicians across phases.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
