Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing and maintenance on low voltage life safety product lines in the Austin area. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and maintain a structured inspection schedule using laptops or mobile devices.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, programming changes, and training junior staff. You must be able to pass physical requirements and participate in on-call rotations, with a strong

Qualifications

3-4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
Fire Alarm License is required.
Must participate in emergency and on-call rotation and be able to troubleshoot systems.

Responsibilities

Inspect electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines and perform routine inspections and testing.
Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for operation of equipment.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents using a laptop or mobile device.
Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
Provide technical training to junior inspectors and trainees.
Ensure inspections are completed on time and according to schedule.
