Job summary

Johnson Controls in Tempe, AZ is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and maintain meticulous inspection records.

Responsibilities include inputting data, performing minor repairs and programming changes, and providing training to junior inspectors.

Qualifications

3-4 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems and Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
Aptitude for troubleshooting systems.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in ladders, scaffolding, ducts, or high lift equipment up to 40 feet.

Responsibilities

Inspect and service Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.
Work with low voltage wiring and devices for operation of equipment.
Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
Maintain structured inspection schedule and archive documents.
Input and retrieve inspection data via mobile devices.
Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems.
Provide technical training to junior inspectors and trainees.
Complete inspections on time.
