Job summary

V-Soft Consulting Group is seeking a Sr. Low Voltage Field Technician to support installations across domestic and international project sites.

Expect leadership of field teams and hands-on installation of low voltage systems including cabling, wireless access points, CCTV, and related devices. The role requires reading construction drawings and schematics, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience installing low voltage systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, wireless access points, or security systems preferred.
• Experience leading teams.
• Experience in the Telecommunications, ICT infrastructure, Security, or Low Voltage industry preferred.

Sr. Low Voltage Field Technician

Primary Location: Louisville, KY

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring a Sr. Low Voltage Field Technician for our premier client Louisville, KY.

Education And Experience

• 7+ years of experience installing low voltage systems including structured cabling, fiber optics, wireless access points, or security systems preferred.
• Experience leading teams
• Experience in the Telecommunications, ICT infrastructure, Security, or Low Voltage industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to install, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber cabling in accordance with industry standards.
• Experience installing low voltage systems such as wireless access points, CCTV cameras, and related devices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, and basic low voltage schematics.
• Sr. Low Voltage Field Technician is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and support of low voltage systems across domestic and international project sites.
• Perform structured cabling installations including copper and fiber cabling, pathways, and device terminations.
• Install and mount wireless access points, CCTV cameras, and other low voltage devices per project scope and drawings.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, customers, and other field personnel.
• Participate in site walkthroughs, field surveys, and coordination meetings as required.

Typical Workday

• Report to assigned job sites domestically or internationally and participate in daily safety meetings and site coordination meetings.
• Review project scope, drawings, and assigned tasks prior to beginning work.
• Install structured cabling, pathways, and low voltage devices in accordance with project requirements.
• Terminate, label, and test cabling to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
