Job summary

Yas Networks in the DC metro area is seeking experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our growing team. You will install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across commercial and industrial environments, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience installing low voltage systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in commercial or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems.
  • Install and service structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic).
  • Install and configure access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and network infrastructure.
  • Install and configure Audio Visual System.
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Perform cable testing, labeling, certification, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing low voltage systems.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and technicians to ensure completion.
  • Follow safety policies and electrical codes.

Responsibilities
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems.
  • Install and service structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic).
  • Install and configure access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and network infrastructure.
  • Install and configure Audio Visual System.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Perform cable testing, labeling, certification, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair existing low voltage systems.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and fellow technicians to ensure successful project completion.
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable electrical codes.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience installing low voltage systems.
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
    • o Structured Cabling
    • o Fiber Optics
    • o Access Control
    • o CCTV
    • o Intrusion/Security Systems
    • o Network Infrastructure
  • Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in commercial or industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BICSI Technician certification
  • Fiber termination and testing experience
  • Experience with manufacturers such as Cisco, HP Poly, Verkada, Avigilon, Lenel
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
