Job summary

Air Comfort, Inc. is seeking a qualified Low Voltage Lead Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex low voltage and fiber optic systems. You will lead on-site installations, coordinate with project managers, and ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in low voltage and fiber optic cable installation.
  • Basic computer skills and good written and verbal communication.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel, with travel typically from Monday to Friday; some Sunday evenings.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, protocols, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and agility for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with overnight stays required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certifications (e.g., BICSI, NICET) are a plus.

  • Build and manage cable pathways and telecom closets.
  • Diagnose issues and conduct regular inspections to prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and team members to ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations and wiring diagrams.
  • Communicate with clients to understand needs and explain systems.
  • Adhere to industry codes and stay informed on trends.

  • Build and manage cable pathways and telecom closets to ensure efficient system operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with low voltage systems, conducting regular inspections to prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and updates to technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and as-builts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of systems.
  • Adhere to industry codes, standards, and regulations, staying informed on trends and advancements.
