RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior materials engineer to lead development and integration of low observable radar materials. The role is onsite, requiring an active U.S.

government security clearance and experience with materials characterization and RF properties. You will mentor engineers, work in product teams, perform measurements, and use CEM tools to predict performance, while coordinating with customers and suppliers and guiding fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in Low Observables or radar materials.
• Experience in material characterization, testing/prediction, or design, and integration onto air vehicle.
• Experience with customer and supplier collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead material development and integration across Raytheon product lines.
• Perform material measurements of constitutive and RF properties.
• Predict material performance using Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM).
• Work in cross-functional teams to incorporate signature control into products.
• Oversee material formulation and fabrication process development.
• Support composites operations and material testing (RF, mechanical, physical).
• Prepare engineering documentation and interface with customers/suppliers.
• Participate in program reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong ownership of tasks and lead as Materials Lead on IPTs.
