Amazon is seeking kernel/embedded C programmers to help build ultra-high performance networking for EC2 Nitro Dataplane. You will work on the packet pipeline across EC2 VPCs with many regions, shaping features like firewalling and routing.

This role emphasizes low-level engineering, design reviews, and collaboration with senior engineers to deliver scalable, fast network software on embedded CPUs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in design or architecture of large-scale systems.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior engineers and lead architecture decisions.
• Be hands-on; design reviews, code reviews and implementation oversight.
• Keep up with new technologies and introduce them to the team.
• Communicate requirements and designs to users, teams and management.
