Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas (Luxor) is seeking a Lounge Server to deliver personalized service in an upscale lounge environment. You will take and serve beverage orders with precision, create a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere, and contribute to an exceptional guest experience.

Ideal candidates are 21+ with at least 6 months of cocktail or food service experience, able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, and comfortable with cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve beverage orders with precision and efficiency.

• Communicate orders to bartenders and ensure transmission is verified.
• Respond to guest inquiries with knowledge of hotel services and local attractions.
• Resolve guest complaints within authority and escalate as needed.
• Complete restaurant training program as required.

THE JOB:

The Lounge Server at Luxor delivers exceptional, personalized service in an upscale lounge environment. This role is responsible for taking and serving beverage orders with precision and efficiency while creating a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience.

THE STARTING RATE:

$14.4497 Hourly + Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Complete opening side duties fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies

• Knowledge of liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor

• Knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink

• Communicate order into system through Bartender; ensure transmission is verified

• Knowledge of Hotel services and features as well as local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries

• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management; notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

• Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 21+ years of age

• 6+ Months of prior relevant experience as a Cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment preferred

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required

• Cash-handling experience preferred
