Job summary

Shaner Hotels is seeking a guest-focused Food & Beverage team member to take, prepare and serve beverages and light meals to hotel guests. You will maintain stock, cleanliness, and adhere to safety and quality standards across shifts including weekends and holidays.

The role requires at least one year in restaurant/F&B, ability to read safety rules, and strong communication with guests and staff. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, ServSafe/TIPS training preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
• Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.
