Job summary

Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a part-time PM bartender to serve guests, handle orders, and process payments in a hotel outlet. You will maintain stock, uphold sanitation, and follow all liquor regulations while delivering friendly service.

The role requires knowledge of drinks, excellent English, and basic POS/task management skills. Prior server/barback experience is preferred, with on-site work in a leisure-driven hotel.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
• 1 year experience as a Server or Barback preferred but not required.
• Good understanding of English.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification of liquor, wine, and food service training.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to input and access information in POS and property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Adhere to state liquor regulations, especially prohibitions on serving minors or intoxicated persons.
• Manage assigned bank and ensure accuracy of funds.
• Greet guests and take orders, upsell where appropriate.
• Input orders and ensure transmission to Bartender/Kitchen.
• Handle payments and follow cash handling policies.
• Document maintenance needs and report to Manager.

Job description

Part-time PM bartender needed. Pays $18/hr + tips.

Overview:

The Lounge Bartender will take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. He/she also will maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
• Always keep bank secure.
• Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up-selling techniques.
• Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself.
• Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.
• Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and Hotel requirements.
• Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.
• Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.

Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Server or Barback preferred but not required.
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
• Previous guest/customer relations training.
