Job summary

Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Lounge Bartender to take orders, prepare, and serve beverages and light meals per hotel standards in Keystone, CO. You will maintain stock, cleanliness, and operate POS systems while ensuring compliance with liquor regulations.

You should have a friendly, outgoing demeanor, strong English, and prior server/barback experience; CPR and alcohol-awareness certifications are preferred. Benefits vary by location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or work equivalent.
• Minimum age 21 to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Server or Barback preferred but not required.
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and abide by state liquor regulations, particularly prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
• Always keep bank secure.
• Maintain knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Greet guests and take orders (food and beverage) using upsell techniques.
• Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and outlet.
• Present guest checks and process payments through Bartender/Cashier; follow cash policies.
• Clean and reset tables after guests depart.
• Collect and report tips at shift end.
• Use chemicals per OSHA and hotel rules.
• Complete closing reports in POS.
• Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
• Always keep bank secure.
• Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up-selling techniques.
• Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself.
• Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.
• Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and Hotel requirements.
• Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.
• Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.

Education And Experience

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Server or Barback preferred but not required.
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
• Previous guest/customer relations training.
