Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Superintendent II to lead, coordinate, and supervise electrical activities on a complex site. You will oversee assistants, contractors, and craft workers; ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence; and liaise with engineers to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role requires extensive MV/HV experience, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of electrical construction practices. Travel to job sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years' experience with high/medium voltage gear, transmission lines, substations.
• Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
• Solid knowledge of latest NESC, NEC, IEEE, NEMA, OSHA codes and safety practices.
• Ability to understand Wind Turbine construction requirements.
• Proven leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with electrical drawings, prints, and field coordination.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical scope on the building site.
• Ensure high-quality electrical installations including underground/overhead lines and substations.
• Provide reviews of drawings, submittals, and feedback with engineering team.
• Coordinate with senior site leadership on schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Supervise electrical teams and ensure resources and safety compliance.
• Interface with power grid connections and fiber optic work.
• Attend project meetings and liaise between field and engineers.
