Job summary

Cox Automotive in Tolleson, AZ is seeking personnel to organize vehicle placement, oversee lot traffic, and coordinate with transporters. The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, a valid license, and customer service experience. You will input data on handheld devices and support safety initiatives.

Candidates should be able to work in outdoor conditions, stand for long periods, and communicate effectively with team members and drivers. Compensation ranges with incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify issues (flat tires, low gas, jump starting).
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain vehicle placement within the designated zone or move to defined area.
• Conduct walks to identify vehicle condition as runners/non-runners.
• Oversee lot coordination to maintain the continuous flow of traffic.
• Pull and maintain keys for unsafe vehicles and report to management.
• Monitor traffic identifying potential blockages.
• Direct drivers on vehicle assignments.
• Move running vehicles and stage them safely to proper work destinations.
• Direct transporters to the correct car drop zone and report damage.
• Input accurate vehicle information into handheld device.
• Support safety activities with leadership in safety excellence.
• Set example by championing Cox/Manheim values.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move to defined area.
• Conduct walks to identify vehicles condition as runners/non-runners.
• Oversee lot coordination to maintain the continuous flow of traffic.
• Pull and maintain the keys for any unsafe vehicles and report to management.
• Monitor traffic identifying potential traffic blockage.
• Direct drivers on vehicles assignment.
• Move running vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper work destinations.
• Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Confirm with the transporters that all vehicles being delivered are inoperable.
• Input accurate vehicle information into handheld device using crew management reporting problems and additional notes.
• Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with safety excellence.
• Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

USD 15.10 - 22.69 per hour

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate is in the range of $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

• Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
• Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
