Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Lot Attendant to manage vehicle placement and flow within the lot, ensuring efficient operations during auctions and daily activities.

Responsibilities include direct vehicle movement, basic vehicle care, and safe operation of a range of cars. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to policies, and professional conduct in line with Cox/Manheim values.

Qualifications

• Generally, less than 2 years of related experience.

• Direct the physical flow of vehicles through sales lanes to the auction block and back to the parking lot after a sale.
• Ensure vehicles are operational by jump-starting dead batteries, addressing flat tires, fueling as needed, or coordinating with push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles.
• Operate a wide variety of customer vehicles safely across the lot (automatic and manual transmissions).
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of employees and customers.

• Directing the physical flow of vehicles through the sales lanes to the auction block and back to the parking lot after a sale
• Ensuring cars are operational by jump-starting dead batteries, identifying flat tires, fueling up, or managing push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles
• Operating a wide variety of customer vehicles (both automatic and manual transmissions) safely across the lot.
• Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect
• Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct
• Be a visible representation of Manheim's safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures, and modeling the behaviors related to these directives
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.

USD 13.70 - 20.53 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $13.70 - $20.53/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
