Job summary

Cox is seeking a Parking and Vehicle Operations Associate in Lakeland, FL. You will organize and park customer vehicles, direct their flow through our auction process, and ensure vehicles are operable and safe for all activities on the lot.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and typically less than two years of related experience. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Generally, less than 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Organize and park vehicles in designated zones per digital dashboard instructions to maximize lot efficiency.
• Direct the physical flow of vehicles through sales lanes to the auction block and back to parking after a sale.
• Ensure vehicles are operational; jump-start dead batteries, check tires, fueling, or manage push-truck operations for inoperable vehicles.
• Safely operate a wide range of customer vehicles (automatic and manual) across the lot.
• Model Cox/Manheim values and ensure respectful treatment of employees and customers.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures and promote safety and health standards.
• Other duties as assigned; overtime may be required based on business needs.

• Organizing and parking vehicles in designated zones based on digital dashboard instructions to maximize lot efficiency.
• Directing the physical flow of vehicles through the sales lanes to the auction block and back to the parking lot after a sale
• Ensuring cars are operational by jump-starting dead batteries, identifying flat tires, fueling up, or managing push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles
• Operating a wide variety of customer vehicles (both automatic and manual transmissions) safely across the lot.
• Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect
• Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct
• Be a visible representation of Manheim's safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures, and modeling the behaviors related to these directives
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate

USD 13.70 - 20.53 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $13.70 - $20.53/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
