Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, seeks a Lot Operations Associate to support daily vehicle movement and readiness at our Hutchins, TX site. You will drive service trucks and forklifts, stage vehicles for sale, and ensure accurate inventory flow from check-in to auction line.

You’ll work Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with pay range $18–$21 per hour, and participate in safety, quality, and customer service tasks in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes, including tow trucks, forklifts, and the service truck
• Automotive or auction experience preferred
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification

Responsibilities

• Support lot operations by preparing and staging vehicles for sale, including stickering, marking vehicles, moving vehicles, and operating the service truck to support the driver team
• Scan the lot and use electronic devices to record the movement of vehicles on the property
• Assist with vehicle readiness tasks such as jumping vehicles and adding fluids, adding air to tires, and verifying vehicle status while maintaining accurate lot organization
• Handle the removal of personal property from vehicles
• Communicate with shop and operations teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory from vehicle check-in to the auction sale line
• Provide customer service support and coordinate with administrative teams to ensure efficient execution of sale day activities
• Confirm vehicle mileage, make year, and VIN to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and report any incidents or hazards to the designated manager
• Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager
