ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking a part-time vehicle transporter/lot driver to support auction activities on-site in Houston. Starting pay is $15 per hour with a Tue-Thu schedule (30 hours/week) and responsibilities including safe operation of vehicles, staging, inventory tracking, and general yard duties.

The role emphasizes teamwork, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced auction environment, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Safe Operations: Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Vehicle Staging: Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
• Operational Support: Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
• Efficiency: Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
• Inventory Tracking: Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
• Maintenance: Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
• Policy Adherence: Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
• Other Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
