Job summary

ShopRite Store Detective in Williamstown, NJ is responsible for delivering a safe customer experience and protecting company assets through observation and CCTV surveillance. The role requires alertness, physical stamina, and strong communication with customers and coworkers.

The position includes handling loss prevention tasks with Lane Hawk and Smart Store systems, performing duties in a retail environment, and adhering to company policies, schedules, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Stand/walk for the duration of shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; sustain 25 lbs regularly.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Work in varying store temperatures and travel to stores if needed.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and follow attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Use loss prevention tools to identify and minimize loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend theft in a professional manner per policy.
• Represent the company in criminal actions after apprehensions.
• Participate in investigations and report vulnerabilities to management.
• Maintain security of store assets and communicate with team.
