Job summary

Fred Meyer, Inc. is seeking a loss prevention professional to prevent and reduce loss from bad debt, cash over/short and civil liabilities. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and alignment with corporate values.

You will work in a fast-paced retail setting, monitor shrink areas, report incidents, and support training to protect customers and associates. Prior security or law enforcement experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures and organizational structure.
• Retail security experience.
• Law enforcement experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 18 years of age (21 in Alaska).
• Ability to pass a drug test and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Detect, deter and/or detain external theft suspects.
• Reduce dishonesty by preventing external and internal theft.
• Monitor large shrink areas in stores and report incidents.
• Provide credible court testimony when required.
• Support customer and associate relations through training and communication.
