Job summary

FCBI in Nashville, TN is seeking a Loss Control Consultant who delivers consultative services in workers' compensation loss prevention, safety and health for our Midsouth clients, operating autonomously at policyholder sites.

The role includes assessing hazards, conducting safety surveys, providing training, analyzing loss data, and staying current with OSHA and state regulations. Travel to client sites is required, with a focus on reducing risk exposure and improving safety outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of general job safety and health experience.
• College degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred, but not required.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Job Safety and Health consultative services to Midsouth customers, including safety program design and implementation.
• Review loss data and provide statistical analysis of loss information and project future loss potential.
• Provide walk-through safety surveys and recommendations to reduce or eliminate hazards.
• Deliver Job Safety and Health training in classroom, seminars, safety meetings, videos, and online formats.
• Provide written and verbal reports and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of laws and statutes in the Job Safety and Health industry and pursue ongoing education.
• Travel to policyholder sites; maintain a Tennessee Driver’s License and authorized vehicle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
