Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits, deter theft, and maintain a secure environment for associates and customers.

You will work with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives, monitor for suspicious behavior, and train associates on shortage reduction initiatives while representing the Ross brand with professionalism.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and reports to Store Leadership.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Loss Prevention leadership.
• Executes company best practices to minimize shortage and maximize productivity.
• Increases store awareness on processes to minimize operational shortage and trains Associates.
