Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to provide a visible presence at store entrances and assist in safeguarding customers and associates.

You will monitor for theft indicators, engage with leadership, and support safety policies while upholding the Ross treasure and brand. The role emphasizes strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork with store staff and district teams.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Assists in adherence to Code 50 package inspection policy and company loss prevention standards.
• Supports training and educating Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
