Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a safe and secure store environment and deter theft.

You will greet customers, monitor for suspicious activity, and partner with Store Leadership to enforce Loss Prevention directives. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills are essential for protecting the Ross treasure and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including background screening, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible command presence at entrances/exits in a company vest/black attire.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe egress to emergency exits.
• Provides great Customer service by greeting Customers and answering questions.
• Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and professionalism.
• Supports Loss Prevention initiatives and collaborates with Store Leadership.
