Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Security Specialist to maintain a safe store environment and deter theft at entrances/exits. You will greet customers, observe activity, and work with Store Leadership to minimize losses while upholding Ross standards.

The role requires a high school education (or equivalent) and preferred security-related training. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position located in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with applicable federal and state laws for security positions, including background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible presence at store entrances to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Monitor sales floor for suspicious behavior and address issues as directed by leadership.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to implement Loss Prevention directives.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and store policies.
• Support teamwork and customer service while protecting assets.
