Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure, welcoming shopping environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with a warm smile, and report theft incidents to management.

This role supports safety standards and daily store operations. Candidates should have 1+ years in customer service or retail, be able to stand long hours, communicate clearly, and work a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and exits, high-risk areas, and store perimeters to deter theft.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and confident greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious behavior to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store associates when required and per company policy.
• Support and train associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
