Job summary

Marshalls in East Islip, NY is hiring a Loss Prevention Associate to deter theft, greet customers, and support store management. You will wear a Body Worn Camera, stand at the front of the store, and respond to requests while observing for suspicious activity. Prior retail or security exposure (0-2 years) is desired. Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills as part of daily customer interactions.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Able to stand for long periods in a retail environment.
• 0-2 years retail or security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss or dishonesty.
• Greet customers and refer requests to management or customer service.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep with a manager.
• Document incidents in Case Management and adhere to policies.
