Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment and provide excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances/exits, engage with customers, and report suspicious activity to management to reduce theft while upholding company values.

This role requires being at front of the store, complying with dress standards, and delivering warm greetings. Part-time schedule, with benefits eligibility for some positions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce opportunities for theft and maintain safety.
• Greet customers with a confident, friendly and energetic demeanor.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and safety practices.
