Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver outstanding customer service. You will monitor entrances, greet customers, and support theft-reduction programs while collaborating with store leadership.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to a fast-paced setting. A positive attitude and excellent communication with customers and colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, asset protection, loss prevention, or operations preferred.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to review and analyze business trends; respond with disciplined decisions.
• Maintain a positive demeanor, energetic greeting, and clear communication with customers and coworkers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrance/exit and high-risk areas to reduce theft.
• Greet every customer with a warm, friendly greeting and promote a sense of security.
• Identify theft incidents or suspicious activity and report to Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
