Job summary

Cleveland Hill UFSD is seeking a long-term substitute for a K-2 special class, requiring a NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education 1-6 and Birth-Grade 2. The role emphasizes direct instruction, IEP development, behavior interventions, and collaboration with colleagues.

The candidate will create NGSS-aligned lesson plans, adapt instruction for students with disabilities in a primary self-contained setting, and maintain strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with Students with Disabilities in a primary self-contained setting.
• Ability to create Next Generation Learning Standards aligned lesson plans and implement specially designed instruction for elementary students.
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Proven collaboration with colleagues to plan and problem-solve.
• Experience developing comprehensive IEPs.
• Experience designing individual and class-wide behavior interventions.
