Dallastown Area School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher for the Dallastown Area Middle School (grades 7-8). The role requires delivering the district curriculum, assessing student progress, and maintaining a safe, productive classroom environment.

The anticipated time frame runs from January 28, 2027, to June 2, 2027, with a typical workday from 7:10 AM to 3:05 PM. Prior teaching experience and PA certification are preferred. EOE.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid PA Teaching Certification: Grades 4-8 (7-8 Mathematics); Mathematics 7-12 required.
• Related teaching experience preferred.
• Completion of all mandated pre-employment documents.

• Guide the learning process toward achievement of District curriculum goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, modifying instructional methods to fit individual needs.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests, including current technology and whole group/small group learning.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with administration, staff, and parents regarding student progress, expectations and goals.

Anticipated Time Frame: Thursday, January 28 2026, through June 2, 2027

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the success and growth of students in academic and functional skills. Specific educational needs of individual students will be addressed, while creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the abilities of students.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Starting Base Salary: Temporary Professional Contract, as applicable andpro-rated for actual days worked:
  • Bachelor's, Step 1, $ 69,306
• Workday: 7:10 AM - 3:05 PM, which would be 7 hours and 45 minutes, including a 30-minute, duty-free lunch period.
• Paid Leave per School Year, prorated for actual days worked:
  • 3 Personal Days
  • 10 Sick Days
