Job summary

Boston Renaissance Charter School is seeking a Long Term Substitute Building Safety Monitor from 10 AM to 6 PM. The role supports a safe school environment, monitors who enters and exits, directs student movement, and reports emergencies.

It is a full-time temporary position in Hyde Park, MA, with daily pay of $125 initially and $150 after 30 days. Responsibilities include overseeing student safety, managing deliveries, supervising late pickups, and assisting with dismissal per school

Responsibilities

• Monitor building well-being of students, staff and visitors.
• Detect and report unauthorized or suspicious persons and activities.
• Notify supervisor of any emergency or unusual situations.
• Direct student movement between classes to ensure smooth transitions.
• Observe and report graffiti or maintenance issues to facilities.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, staff and community.
• Ensure facilities are secured after school hours.
• Receive, organize and notify staff of deliveries.
• Supervise late parent pickups and generate related letters.
• Assist with dismissal and other duties as assigned.

Salary: $125.00 Annually

THIS IS A LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE POSITION FROM NOVEMBER-JANUARY

Summary:

The School Safety Monitor will play an integral role in creating and maintaining a warm, welcoming,

and safe environment for all students, employees, and visitors. This position is full time from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

when school is in session.

Major Responsibilities:

• Monitors building to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and visitors.
• Detect and report unauthorized or suspicious persons and activities.
• Notify the appropriate supervisor of any emergency, potentially dangerous, or unusual situations.
• Ensure smooth traffic flow and direct student movement between class periods and at other transition times.
• Observes and reports any damage, graffiti and maintenance issues to school property;
• Maintains a positive relationship with students, staff and the community;
• Ensure BRCPS facilities are secured after school hours.
• Receive, organize and notify staff of delivered packages.
• Supervise late parent pick up for BRCPS students.
• Generate letters to frequent late parent pick up parents.
• Ensure late parent pick up students are dismissed according to BRCPS process and procedures.
• Assist with dismissal duty.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Preferred Associates Degree
• Must work well with peers, support teamwork, and actively engage in leadership activities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with parents and guardians verbally and in writing
• Excellent organizational skills.

Pay:

$125 per day for the first 30 days/ $150 per day after 30 days
