Job summary

Crestview Elementary School is seeking a Temporary High Needs/Resource Special Ed Paraprofessional for a long-term substitute position. The role supports students under the supervision of a licensed special education teacher, with daily collaboration and behavioral support.

Starting pay is $22.70 per hour, working 6.25 hours per day, from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch. The position begins September 2, 2026 and ends November 6, 2026, subject to change.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to meet District 833 Highly Qualified requirements.
• Experience or ability to reinforce core academic skills in reading, writing and math.

Responsibilities

• Consult daily with licensed special education teacher regarding daily responsibilities.
• Assist in implementing district policies, procedures and safety protocols.
• Support students in reading, writing, and math under teacher direction.
• Assist students with behavioral management and daily living activities as needed.
• Collect and record student data as directed and monitor progress.
