Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools (Independent School District No. 194) is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for a long-term substitute. You will support students with IEP adaptations, lead small groups, and assist with mobility and daily living tasks in a district serving about 12,000 students.

The role is in the LEAF bargaining unit with a pay range of $21.18–$25.38 per hour, 31.25 hours per week, starting 9/3/2026 and ending 11/23/2026. AA degree or Para Pro required, benefits available.

Qualifications

• AA degree (minimum of 60 college credits) or Para Pro test or Para Educator Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the special education team.
• Lead small groups and provide one-to-one follow-up to keep students on task.
• Support IEP adaptations and accommodations to promote independence.
• Provide feedback to teachers on activities, assignments, participation and behavior.
• Foster a positive learning environment and advocate for student needs.
• Assist with mobility and daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain student and family data privacy and confidentiality.
