Job summary

Eden Prairie Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional (Long-Term Substitute) to assist students with mobility, self-care, communication, and social interaction needs at Eden Lake Elementary.

The role supports participation in classroom activities, follows teacher plans, and requires a two-year degree or ParaPro eligibility; shifts 8:40 AM to 3:10 PM, 31 teaching days, with pay rate of $22.81 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two year degree or higher, 60 credits toward a degree, or ParaPro test eligibility.
• Background in child development or related knowledge preferred.
• Willingness to work with students with special needs.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication, patience, and flexibility.
• Experience with special education students (EBD, LD, MMH).
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Follow teacher's plan and communicate with staff and parents.
