Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts DESE teacher certification appropriate for grade 6-8; Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Highly Qualified per Massachusetts DESE.
• Proven ability to relate to administrators, parents, teachers, students and staff.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized with leadership abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of internet, email, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Identify students needing special education services and develop IEPs.
• Collaborate with teams to implement IEPs and goals for students.
• Schedule, meet, and instruct assigned students per plan.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress reports.
• Communicate progress and needs to parents/guardians regularly.
• Follow district policies and ensure student safety and supportive environment.
