Qualifications

• Valid NJDOE Certificate and Speech Language Specialist endorsement.
• Demonstrated knowledge in speech/language pathology.
• Ability to apply assessment, treatment and prevention of speech, language and hearing disorders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or small group intervention sessions for classified students.
• Provide a therapeutic program meeting individual needs of students with speech disorders.
• Assist in identifying, diagnosing, evaluating and developing programs for students with disabilities pursuant to NJAC 6A:14.
• Assist teachers in observing and referring suspected speech and language disorders.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement therapy in daily activities.
• Develop screening and treatment plans; create individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Prepare written evaluations and maintain clinical records.
