Job summary

Moorestown Township Public Schools in New Jersey seeks a Long Term Substitute First Grade Teacher for Mary Roberts Elementary School. Assignment runs Oct 29, 2026 to Feb 1, 2027; salary range $58,931.00 to $72,242.00; benefits include New Jersey Educators Health Plan (single).

The teacher will implement curriculum, develop lesson plans, and support students with IEPs and state standards. The role requires a valid NJ instructional certificate, strong teaching methods, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to pass the criminal history review and S414.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop lessons aligned to curriculum and board-approved goals.
• Create age-appropriate, engaging instruction and adapt to student needs.
• Set weekly objectives and plans to achieve them.
• Incorporate IEP requirements and collaboration with child study team.
• Assist in curriculum revision and share current knowledge with staff.
• Maintain assessment records and monitor student progress.
• Communicate with parents about pupil progress and school programs.
