Qualifications

• DESE certification is required or eligible.
• Master degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment: Complete comprehensive psycho-educational assessments in accordance with applicable regulations and district policy; interpret findings for students, parents, staff, and others.
• Prevention: Identify students at risk of educational failure; participate in school-based pre-referral activities; assist in school-wide safety initiatives.
• Intervention/Counseling: Plan and implement behavior management programs; provide crisis counseling and individual/group counseling.
• Consultation: Participate on school-based teams for intervention planning and program development.
• Professional Development: Provide in-service opportunities for staff and maintain currency in knowledge and skills.
• Program Development and Evaluation: Participate in initiatives addressing student, school or district needs.
