Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a School Psychologist (Long-Term Substitute) to provide psychological and educational evaluations for students aged pre-school through 22 in public, private, and parochial settings in Boston. The role includes participating in IEP meetings, delivering consultation to staff, and supporting prevention and counseling services.

The position is a long-term substitute starting late August 2026 and ending December 14, 2026, with per diem pay for substitutes.

Qualifications

Licensed School Psychologist with MA Department of Education certification.
Ability to write comprehensive and informative reports in English.
Competency in administration and interpretation of standardized instruments.

Responsibilities

Provides psychological and educational evaluations for students in Boston schools.
Participates in Individualized Educational Planning Meetings to develop educational plans.
Provides consultation to teachers and professionals to support student outcomes.
Conducts classroom screening to inform instructional planning.
Provides prevention and counseling services, individually or in small groups.
Intervenes as needed and participates on the crisis response team.
Collaborates with the Office of Special Education and Student Services team.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
